The feeling when no shortcuts have been taken to create a seaworthy all-weather boat and an elegant liveaboard in one and the same flotation fabric – that’s also the feeling you get when you cast off with the Nord Star 42+. We are thus dealing with a boat that sums up everything from the long-standing Nord Star shipyard’s long experience and curious joy of discovery. Something that can be seen in everything from the generous exterior spaces to the state-of-the-art living comfort and in the obvious way the boat moves in the lake. In other words, it is set for the independent boating life where no consideration needs to be given to external conditions. With a fuel capacity of 990 (+550) liters and driving characteristics that break most things, you can throw away with advantage when other boats do best to stay in the safety behind the harbor piers. Added to this is an interior that not only impresses in terms of light and space, but also makes life on board feel carefree and easy. Gone are the days when people longed to go home to “a real bed” after a long time at sea. In addition to the spacious cabin/saloon with sofa, dining table and a well-equipped longitudinal galley, there are also two standard sleeping cabins with two berths each. Which of these two luxurious cabins is preferable is not obvious. The question is still whether the giant aft cabin with a centered double bed won’t take the prize. Regardless of which cabin is preferred, there is a private toilet space nearby. So it continues with clever spaces and an interior layout that in a somewhat magical way sucks the maximum out of a given space. Hence the rich range of storage options and maneuvering space on board. Everything characterized by high-class materials and sober Scandinavian design. Last but not least, it is time to dispel the myth that a large boat would be difficult to handle. As a customer, you can choose between a large selection of double assembly. Common to all options is that they are diesel engines with duoprop or IPS drives, this to ensure operational safety and maneuverability. Of course, the boat can be delivered with joystick steering and Sky Hook if desired. An accessory that makes maneuvering in tight harbors child’s play.

The independent boating life

With or without flybridge? With the Nord Star 42+ also comes the opportunity to get the boat with a solid flybridge where no shortcuts have been taken to achieve maximum comfort. Complete with a giant L-shaped sofa, wet bar (with fridge, grill and sink), an ergonomically well-thought-out and royally placed driver’s seat in the middle. Free passages Wide gangways, substantial side doors and a well-proportioned sliding door in the aft edge of the cabin (cruiser version) are Nord Star’s hallmark, and the Nord Star 42+ is of course no exception. In other words, it is set up for comfortable, simple and carefree boating. Royal accommodation Nord Star 42+ is characterized by a light, airy and liberating sober interior with two cabins, two toilet spaces, a shower cubicle and plenty of room to maneuver in between. The longitudinal kitchenette comes with a fridge, stove, microwave, sink, bar cabinet and plenty of storage space. Can also be obtained with oven dishwasher. Hydraulic bathing platform As a tempting extra finesse, the boat can be had with a hydraulic bathing jetty that makes launching the water scooter or tender child’s play.
